Traveling can be difficult for persons with disabilities, and at DTD we make every effort to get you where you need to be on time, in comfort, and in class.

Our drivers are trained on boarding and de-boarding protocols, as well as disability awareness and etiquette, to accommodate persons with assistive devices, wheelchairs and even service animals.

If you let us know of your needs when making your reservation, your DTD driver will be better able to ensure your timely departure, arrival and fulfilment of transportation needs.

From the time you make your reservation to the moment we drop you off you’ll be treated by a driving professional dedicated to making your DTD ride a comfortable, care-free and safe ride.

We have trained and expect our DTD drivers to:

  • Approach and introduce themselves to each customer
  • Ask how to accommodate specific customer needs
  • Ask for customer’s preference in stowing assistive devices
  • Allow service animals to travel on the floor of the car
  • Listen to and follow customer’s reasonable feedback/instruction

DreamTeamDrive (DTD) drivers are expected to comply with all state, federal and local laws governing the transportation of riders with disabilities. A transportation provider’s violation of the laws governing the accommodation of riders with disabilities, including with respect to the use of service animals, constitutes a breach of the Licensing Agreement between the driver and DTD.

Accordingly, service animals must be accommodated in compliance with accessibility laws. Additionally, DTD drivers are expected to accommodate riders using walkers, canes, folding wheelchairs or other small assistive devices to the maximum extent possible.

Any report of discrimination will result in temporary account deactivation for the driver while DTD reviews the incident. Confirmed violations of the law with respect to accommodation of riders with disabilities may result in permanent loss of employment with DTD.
